This is disgusting. Burning a book isn’t just burning all the ideas, all the words, and all the efforts of its author and its story. It’s disregarding everyone else’s rights to its ideas and its story. Not only that, it’s stripping the author’s right to use and publish their voice, a right that has been fought long and hard for. People have died for this right. Even if you dislike it, even if it’s Mein Kampf by Hitler, everyone has the right to write their story. Everyone has a right to read a book and take what they want from it. Burning any book, even one as disliked as Twilight, is the one of highest forms of ignorance anyone can take practice in.
It’s not okay, it’s not funny, and it doesn’t make you any smarter or intelligent by doing so. It’s hateful and disgusting. That’s all it is.
